Theresa Marks, DVM

Theresa Marks, DVM

Dr. Marks grew up in the area, attending St. Raymond's, Wildwood Catholic High School, and then Douglass College Rutgers University. She attended Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Marks started out at the age of 14 as a kennel person and moved up to an office manager until her acceptance into veterinary school. In March 2000, she started her practice, South Paw Animal Hospital. She is an avid baseball fan and enjoys bicycle riding, snow skiing, and camping. She is also a ham radio operator. She enjoys teaching pet CPR classes and fundraising for various causes. Dr. Marks spends her free time with her husband Keith, and their French Bulldog Cadance. She is a member of the South East Veterinary Group, NJAVMA and AVMA. Dr. Marks was inducted into the National Register's "Who's Who" of Executives and Professionals. She is also a National Accredited Veterinarian, able to complete international health certificates.

Genna Volchko, Office Manager

Genna Volchko, Office Manager

Genna has been a dedicated member of the South Paw Animal Hospital team since 2002, starting as a receptionist and becoming Office Manager in 2005. In her role, she helps keep the hospital running smoothly while supporting both clients and staff. Outside of work, Genna enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She is a proud cat mom to Ariel, Crouton, Pixie, and Chili. One of her favorite parts of working at South Paw is the lasting relationships she has built with clients and their pets, which make the hospital feel like a close-knit community.

Lindsay Sullivan, Assistant Office Manager

Lindsay Sullivan, Assistant Office Manager

Lindsay joined the South Paw team in 2006 as a receptionist and was promoted to Assistant Office Manager in early 2014. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cleaning, and spending time with her fiancé and their two sons and daughter. Her favorite part of working at South Paw Animal Hospital is being part of a team that consistently shows compassion and care to every client and patient who walks through the door.

Andrew J., Customer Service Representative

Andrew J., Customer Service Representative

Andrew joined the South Paw team in June 2014 and has since become a familiar and welcoming presence at the front desk. Originally from Paulsboro, NJ, he relocated to the area in 1998. In his free time, Andrew enjoys crafting, traveling, and reading, and he shares his home with his cat, Charleigh and Pug, Skeeter. His favorite part of working at South Paw Animal Hospital is connecting with clients and building relationships with both them and their pets. Known for his friendly demeanor, Andrew is always ready to greet everyone with a warm smile as they walk through the door.

Holly K., Veterinary Technician

Holly K., Veterinary Technician

Holly joined the South Paw team in April 2016, bringing with her several years of experience in small animal medicine, along with a background in large animal care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science from Centenary College in 2007. Outside of work, Holly enjoys trail riding her two horses, Tara and Tigue, and spending time with her four cats—Peregrin, Lydia, Evelyn, and Grayson. Her favorite part of working at South Paw Animal Hospital is assisting Dr. Marks in providing the highest quality care to every patient.

Delsea D., Veterinary Technician

Delsea D., Veterinary Technician

Delsea joined the South Paw team in December of 2020. She has volunteered with rescue farms and fostered many rescue dogs. She adopted two of her rescues, Ransom and Stella. On her days off, Delsea helps out at her family’s dog walking business, Shore Puppy Walks. She owns a horse named Sioux and has been a horseback riding instructor since 2013 and runs Sea Horse Farm Summer Horse Camp. Whether at work or the farm, her busy schedule always involves her favorite hobby, caring for animals. Delsea’s favorite thing about working at South Paw is working alongside colleagues who offer a wealth of knowledge and a true love for animals.

Stephanie G., Veterinary Technician

Stephanie joined the South Paw team June 2024. She has been involved in veterinary medicine on and off since graduating high school, gaining hands-on experience while working and volunteering with various animal shelters. She has spent years rescuing and fostering both cats and dogs, a passion that extends into her personal life, where she enjoys spending time with her own rescues—her dog, Zora, and her 3 cats, Gomez, Nova, and Allie.  Stephanie’s favorite part of working at South Paw is working alongside her colleagues and forming connections with clients and their pets.

Ava D., Veterinary Assistant

Ava has been part of the South Paw team since September 2024. She is currently a student at the University of Delaware, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary medicine. Ava hopes to follow in Dr. Marks’ footsteps by attending veterinary school in the future. At home, she has a black Labrador named Olive, along with 2 ducks and 12 chickens. In her free time, Ava enjoys teaching dance, going to the beach, and getting coffee with friends. As a young person in veterinary medicine, her favorite part of working at South Paw is the constant encouragement and support she receives from the rest of the staff.
